This is our second invitation back to speak at ISPAN! Last October we spoke on lasers, microneedling and peels when treating skin of color. This year our topic is "Ethnic Skin Treatment Complications- How to avoid them." Time and date of our session is TBD https://ispan.org/meeting/
We both had a VISION at the start of 2022 which has now become a momentous and meaningful accomplishment for us to have been able to write a published systematic and peer reviewed article titled “Considerations for Laser Therapy, Microneedling and Peels When Treating Skin of Color.” When we both met at a conference in early 2022, we never would have thought we would be at the end of the year saying we are now published authors and award winners for our work. When we were chosen to speak at the International Society of Plastic Aesthetic Nurses @ispannurses conference in October of this year we jumped on the opportunity to write a manuscript and to have the opportunity to be published in the Plastic and Aesthetic Nursing Journal. We are both humbled and honored to have been selected to speak at this year‘s conference, but we are also incredibly excited to have an award for our manuscript turned into a presentation. Thank you to ISPAN nurses for allowing us to use our voices to bring more awareness to aesthetic treatments for skin of color, and we are so excited to be ending our year with our published article!!
It’s available for free viewing if you are an ISPAN member.
If you are not a member, considering joining!
